Laundry techniques to remove stubborn yellowing and darkening from shirts
Before you know it, the collar of a dress shirt tends to turn yellow and the cuffs turn dark.Even if you take it to the cleaners or apply the type of detergent that you apply to the collar, some people may still be worried about the stains remaining.
We will introduce the causes of yellowing and dark spots and how to take care of them at home.
Causes of stains on Y-shirts

It's definitely sebum stains from your body .
Because the fabric of dress shirts is hard and sturdy, it is prone to sweat and friction with the skin, which causes sebum stains to adhere to the fabric, which oxidizes over time, resulting in yellowing.
Even though you should be washing your clothes every time, the reason why yellowing and darkening occurs is because sebum stains, especially protein stains , are not thoroughly removed when washing.
Although sebum stains can be removed during regular washing, protein stains are difficult to break down and tend to remain on clothing.
In particular, this accumulated dirt is more visible on white clothing such as dress shirts than on colored and patterned clothing.
Wash sebum stains with hot water
Since sebum melts at around 40℃, we recommend using hot water to wash sebum stains.(Please check the washing instructions beforehand.)
Laundry technique 1: Scrub with laundry detergent you have at home
If you are concerned about spot stains
If you want to thoroughly remove sweat and sebum stains, we recommend using bar soap or powdered weak alkaline detergent .Wet the area, apply detergent, and use a soft toothbrush to scrub the stain.
*Please note that washing with too much force will damage the fabric.

If you are concerned about overall dullness
If you are concerned about overall dullness, we recommend soaking it with oxygen bleach .Dissolve oxygen bleach in hot water and let it sit for about an hour, then rinse out the bleach and put it in the washing machine.
*Oxygen bleach is most effective when used with hot water of 40-50℃.
Please use hot water for soaking.
*Oxygen bleach can also be used on colored and patterned items, but if metallic dyes have been used, there is a possibility that the color will fade only in that area.
Please be sure to read the washing instructions below and test in an inconspicuous place before use.

Laundry technique 2: Soak and wash with Rinenna #2
Even if you know how to remove stains, it can be difficult to scrub your shirts every day. Therefore, Linenna has developed a detergent that works on protein stains that are difficult to remove with regular detergents.
That is Rinenna #2 .
A weakly alkaline detergent that is strong against sebum stains and contains protein-degrading enzymes , and works even on protein stains that cannot be removed with regular laundry detergents.
Unlike bleach, it doesn't destroy stains, it "floats" them off, and it doesn't require scrubbing, so it's less likely to damage fabrics.
Furthermore, it contains ingredients that thoroughly remove unpleasant odors such as body odor and aging odor .
Easy to use!
[1] Dissolve Rinenna #2 in 40~45℃ hot water and mix well.
[2] Thoroughly soak the shirt in the cleaning solution and leave it there for washing.
[3] Place the soaked cleaning solution in the washing machine.
For stubborn dirt
If the dirt is heavy, use hot water of about 45℃ to increase the enzyme activity. Also, the longer you leave it on, the stronger its ability to remove dirt will be, so we recommend leaving it on for a long time, no more than 12 hours.
It also works on all dirt build-up and contains fluorescent bleach, so you'll feel a little brighter after washing.
Would you like to easily remove stains at the cleaning level at home with Rinenna #2?

How to prevent yellowing and darkening?
[1] Wash immediately after wearing.
If you leave it for a long time, the sebum stains will oxidize and change color.[2] Thoroughly wash and rinse
For sebum stains, we recommend using a weak alkaline powder detergent. However, the most important thing is to thoroughly remove dirt by washing .
“The laundry tub is dirty” “It’s too loaded with laundry so it can’t be washed” “I don’t rinse it enough times” …No matter how good the detergent you use, this will leave stains on your clothes.
Correct washing will dramatically change the way stains come off, so please give it a try.
Because you wear your shirt at work or as a uniform, you want to keep it clean.
Get rid of yellowing, dark spots, and odors to stay clean and comfortable every day!
