If both parasols and rain umbrellas have bamboo handles, wrap them in plastic wrap to make them waterproof.
Soak a sponge in water containing laundry detergent (neutral) and pat the surface of the umbrella to wash it.
Place a clean white towel on the back of the umbrella to absorb the dirt.*Be sure to dab as rubbing will cause it to fluff and change its color.
Rinse and drain in the shower.
Rinse about 3 times.
